Zoorrific!

Hi! I am back! Sorry for the delay in blogging. Days seemed to melt into each other and before I knew we are at the end of August. Our family has many birthdays in August and we have been doing some celebrating...including my birthday. However, the week before my birthday, Ken and I took our first trip alone since Wyatt was born. Both sets of his grandparents were gracious and took care of Wyatt so we could have a getaway. It was so nice to be together and even though we had one day of rainy weather we had a wonderful time. Who had separation anxiety? Me - of course! Wyatt had a glorious time and didn't even know we were even gone.
After our trip, I took my birthday off and Wyatt, Grandma and I went to the zoo. A perfect day and going first thing in the morning sure did change the amount of crowds. We were able to go to the new Bear attraction and even had a front row to all the action that the adorable Polar Bear could dish out. If you haven't been to the new "Teddy" World as Wyatt would call it...we highly recommend it...go first thing in the morning to avoid the crowds. The pictures in this blog were all taken outside of Tropic World! Wyatt had so much fun that he fell asleep on the way home.

Wyatt is now days away from being 20 months old. Wow...just a few months shy of 2 years! Time does fly. He is now our "lil' mocking bird" as he repeats our conversations while in the car...too funny. My favorite thing now is hearing Wyatt's laugh when he humors himself. It would make you laugh to hear it and at the same time I hope he loses it by the time he starts to date...if you know what I mean. The need for discipline has also begun so that is fun too. So stay tuned! Blessings to you all.
