Mommy's Version of Camping!

Wyatt received this MEGA Playground set that comes with these pop-up like camping-type tents and believe me it is the type of camping that I like to do. Probably because it is away from mosquitos. He is really starting to like to go in this one in particular that is in his bedroom. We got them as a gift and since he is post exersaucer I wanted something different for him to play with especially on days I work from home. You will see a new friend - White Bear or my name for him Blackwell that Wyatt has become very close to along with Brutus his stuffed dog. Hope you all are keeping dry and safe after all these severe thunderstorms.

He is such a flirt!

A One, Two, A Three...

Wyatt is changing so fast and seems to learn something daily. In the past week he started to count by himself. Honestly, he can count to ten and I will get it on video because I know you are saying to yourself...you are dreamin' Shar he is too young! It is true and I will get it on video. In the meantime, this short clip shows Wyatt enjoying his favorite fruit...blueberries! Fruit far surpasses any sweets for him. I wanted to catch him on video so you could hear him say blueberry and do a little counting, but eating was more important. Hmmm...who does he get that from?

It is more than ice cream ("i-ceam")...

I just had to capture Wyatt requesting dessert on camera.

He is definitely our son...if he only knew how many flavors of he has yet to taste.

Hoping you are able to enjoy a treat this week.

Plan B: Rainy Day

These two are just to cute, right? Well, we were going to take Wyatt to his first parade on Saturday, but the rain started as we got into the car and by the time we were in the town were the parade was held it was pouring. Luckily, we were tardy or we would have been drenched. I reminded Ken this is one time that being married to me paid off to be a little late. (I am commonly tardy although I am trying to change that habit.) Unlike many loyal parade onlookers we do not have that "magic" plastic stroller cover where the child can enjoy being out and about all while staying perfectly dry. Add in that the parent would be soaked to the bone either way...not my choice for the first parade experience. So, we headed home for a nap instead. Wyatt woke up, had lunch and since the rain had stopped we opted for "Plan B"...The Morton Arboretum! Thanks to Wyatt's grandparents we have a membership so we can go for any period of time and whenever we want...talk about fabulous. So, we headed out and found that many stayed away due to the rain and it was like having the arboretum to ourselves. We stopped by the childrens area that is soooooooooooo incredible great for kids of all ages. I had to take some photos of my boys having fun. It was a wonderful afternoon, the sun came out and we enjoyed the amazing sites. Hope you all had a great weekend a week ahead.
